Learning! Enrichment! And Prayer!
LEAP is our parish faith formation / religious education program for both children and adults. Leap offers an opportunity to grow in faith for everyone from our youngest preschoolers to our oldest great-grandparents. All are welcome: kids, moms and dads, singles, grandmas and grandpas, aunts and uncles, babies and toddlers.
LEAP activities are held on Wednesday evenings from 5:00 to 7:30 pm, beginning with a meal in the church lower level. The meal will be provided by the parish and served by various church groups. There is no cost for this meal. At 6:15 the food will be cleared away and everyone will proceed to their class or session.
Adult Sessions: All adult sessions will be held in the Education Center. See more on adult sessions below.
Children’s Classes: Preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1, 2 and 3 will meet in the Education Center. Grades 4 and 5 will participate in a program called “The Edge” and will meet in our Youth Room.
Note: “Life Teen” for our youth in grades 6 – 12 meets Sunday evenings. See the Life Teen listing for further information.
Classes/sessions for everyone will begin at 6:30 and will end promptly at 7:30 pm.
Child Care is available in the Church Lower Level.
Our nursery for babies and toddlers is located in our church lower level in the “quiet corner”. There is no charge for child care. We invite the parents of our little ones to take advantage of this service, and to join us for some learning, enrichment and prayer.
Adult sessions will include four topics of study; each will be six weeks long. See the Bulletin for upcoming sessions.
LEAP Adult Sessions Sept. 4 - Oct 9
1. Word Among Us: Led by Daryl Cunningham. This group reads the next Sunday's Mass Readings. Through discussion and sharing with each other, the Scriptures come alive and touch hearts. A great way to prepare for Sunday's Mass.
2. Getting More Out of Mass: Facilitated by Kitt Kitterman. Using a booklet by Fr. John Muir, we learn to better prepare for, participate in, and receive all the blessings and grace of the Mass in order to "go forth" and live our Christian life the rest of the week!
3. Mary and The Scriptures: Facilitated by Terry McDonald and Sandy Majchrzak. Using a dvd from Bishop Robert Barron's Word on Fire organization, the lessons will help us to become more mature followers of Christ. After all, Mary said: "Do whatever He tells you!"
